We are Sacred Heart students from around the United States, gathering together at Josephinum Academy in Chicago to study the issue of food deserts -- geographic areas in which residents have little or no access to fresh and healthy food. For one week in June, we will engage in learning activities, conversations with experts, and community service to study this important social justice issue and learn about some creative strategies for overcoming it.
